aruba timeshare marriott

hi, i`ll be going to Aruba with my family next july?

we have a timeshare and are staying at the marriott renaissance Aruba resort and casino. does anyone know anything about it? is it nice? and how long would it take by water taxi to get to Oranjestad?

im staying there this friday , but im local, the hotel itself is located IN oranjestad. You can take a water taxi to a rif, called renaissance island, where you have private beaches owned by the hotel. water taxis comes every 15 minutes, and it takes around 20 minutes to go to the island. the hotel itself is REALLY nice, my family has 3 weeks there , love it, 2 casinos, shopping mall, 3 pools, but the only downside i find is it’s location, Now oranjestad is not THAT big of a tourist place anymore, now it’s more around high rise hotel area. But for a resort i give it 2 thumbs up. location i wouldnt find the best place, but you can get to the high rise area in about 10 minutes by car
